MySQL Manager is an application that is included in the Mac OS X Server that starts and stops the MySQL Database service that is within the server. The application is located in /Applications/Servers/MySQL Manager.app. Unlike other server tools, this tool is only installed on the server itself.

MySQL Manager sometimes refer to Management tool for MySQL. A widespread and popular alternative, written in PHP, is the free software web application phpMyAdmin which is a server side tool. For client side MySQL administration and development, the leading tool is Navicat MySQL GUI , which provides the same functionality as phpMyAdmin but more advanced in the Import/Export, Backup and Data Sync. features.
