PHP Family previously known as PHP Group of Industries is a Bangladeshi conglomerate based in Chittagong.[1][2][3] It was founded in 1969 by Sufi Mohammed Mizanur Rahman who is the chairman of the group as of 2018.[4] PHP Group has a broad range of interests in e-commerce, online gaming, phone cards and mobile payments, logistics, supply chain management, e-commerce marketing and online marketplaces.

After setting up its first online store in 1992, PHP Group's first international sale was made in the UK in 1997. The company has also entered into joint ventures with some major global companies, including Skype, Coca Cola and IBM.

PHP Automobiles Limited is a part of PHP Family that started production of Proton cars since 2017 branded as Proton PHP.[6]

PHP Automobiles is a revolutionary concern of PHP Group of Industries - a silent revolutionary conglomerate group in Bangladesh founded by Alhajj Sufi Mohammed Mizanur Rahman. Following him, The Managing Director Mohammed Akther Parvez, the Managing Director of PHP Automobiles and PHP Motors has planned to bring a new horizon to the country's automotive industry. In response to this vision, Dr Mahathir Bin Mohamad came forward to collaborate with Malaysian number one national car brand Proton to continue in Bangladesh. With satisfactory responses from the buyers, PHP Automobiles Limited – the country’s first private automobile assembling organization in Chattogram, has planned to spread its services across the country. PHPA is now offering five types of vehicles including sedan car – Proton Saga (Assembled in Bangladesh), Proton Preve and mid-size passenger vehicle (MPV) Proton Exora, Proton X70, Proton Persona in the factory. We are also producing motorcycles of different types with production of 64 parts including chassis among the total 1,200 items. Along with main factory and head office in Chittagong, PHP Automobiles Limited is situated in 240, Tejgaon-Gulshan Link Road, C/A. Dhaka 1208

Apart from automobiles, the company also produces motorbikes.[7]
