Users often used canned warning templates, like {{npa3}} or {{3rr}} to warn experienced editors they are in conflict with. This is innapropriate and unnececarialy combattive. Gently reminding users one is in a dispute with to follow policy is a good thing. Hitting them with templates designed to inform newer users about policy for the first time is not. Avoid using warning templates on experienced editors - if you must remind them of policy, customize the message.
