Crack Ov Dawn Is A Shock-Pop band,located in France, it was founded in january of 2002. They have 2 albums wich they have making them an important band in the french scene.
History
Envisioned and brought forth in Paris, in January 2002, Crack ov Dawn was formed by guitarist Sexy Sadie and vocalist Vinnie Valentine, on the ashes of several previous rock projects. "We were all sweating our guts out since the release of Appetite for Destruction, so we thought it was time to kick some asses" says Sadie.
Soon after joined up by vocalist & multi-instrumentalist Britney Beach, the newborn glamour gang was now ready to rock and roll the nite. The next six months were spent writing material, rehearsing, going down down down, developing sounds and lyrics for the new band.
Summer 2003, Vinnie and Britney met Mallaury Murder while being thrown off a parisian club and recruited him as a bassist. "Three ain't a good number for a Rock n' Roll band" says Valentine. Few weeks after, Xander Xanax, an old friend of Mallaurys, takes the drums, soon joined by Spicy Sky on guitars, and the band signs for two albums on Equilibre Music.
Eleven songs were selected for their Dawn Addictdebut album, which simply kicked-ass with the listeners : «No doubt that if you want to party sleazy, you'd better invite this lot. », « This is "Apetite for Destruction" for 2004 and beyond. ».
Songwriters Sexy Sadie & Britney Beach like to describe the band's music as 'Shock-Pop', a style ready to be presented as really innovative, strong, rocking and dance-able as fuck! A kind of artistic synthesis of many crucial youth-music movements, from decadent modern Rock to nail varnished Gothic Glam and '70 Punk/Shock-Rock.
Vinnie left the band, and the crew went on with the recording of the Dawn Addict successor : "White Line". The release date is June 2006, and it already seemslike a "not to miss" album!
Crack ov Dawn's aim is actually pretty clear: always try something new and powerful, never content to be just another band, break ALL the rules. You have been warmed: there'll be one hell of a bloody row!
