Should companies without articles be included?

  • Should red-link or unlinked companies be included in the "history" section at all?
    • If so, should they be restricted to companies that obviously meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines?

I ask because on September 10, an IP editor added a line about RushFiles. I undid it because typically these types of sections are limited to companies that have or at least could have an article in Wikipedia. On September 21, a new editor created Draft:RushFiles. I rejected that draft because I could not find evidence that the company meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines. I'm not saying it doesn't, I'm just saying that between a "top 20" Google search and the content of the draft, it's not obvious that it does, which means if the page were moved into the main encyclopedia, it faces at best a "no consensus" outcome at WP:Articles for deletion, but much more likely, a deletion outcome.

On a related note, if you DO know that this company meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines, please help improve the draft and re-submit it for review. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 14:56, 21 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
