GuideWorks, LLC is a joint venture of Comcast and Gemstar-TV Guide that was formed in April 2004 for the purpose of creating navigation software (also know as Interactive Program Guides) for digital cable. Comcast is the controlling partner and owns 51% of the venture. The company's software GuideWorks Software is widely deployed in Comcast digital cable systems throughout the USA. Gemstar TV Guide markets the software to other cable operators. The company's headquarters is in Radnor, Pennsylvania and its president is Gerard Kunkel. GuideWorks also has staff in Englewood, Colorado.
