"The Gap Girls" was a sketch on Saturday Night Live with Adam Sandler (Lucy) and David Spade (Christie) as two teenage girls who work at the GAP. Their manager, Cindy (Chris Farley), appears randomly. Their answer to a customer's fashion dilemma, no matter what, was "just cinch it!" --tighten the belt-- which became the skit's catchphrase.

There was also a skit that involved the late Chris Farley as the "fat" Gap Girl. He had the famous line, cutting from the Gap Girl affeminate sounding voice into a scarier baritone, "LAY OFF ME I"M STARVING!" This was in response to the other Gap Girls intimating that Chris Farley's character should stop eating so many fries since "she" is on a diet.
