List of programs broadcast by HBO → List of original programs broadcast by HBO – Unnecessary and un-useful scope of all programs broadcast by HBO, currently admitting its own impossibility to collate by vague lead description as a "partial listing". Needs to be restricted to programming commissioned by HBO only, allowing the reader to understand the significance of the shows listed and be a exhaustive list within newly set parameters. Oppose as it would not be WP:CONSISTENT with similar lists (see subcategories of Category:American television series by network) that follow the present pattern and scope. That said, I feel like the "broadcast by" used on all these lists is extraneous and that the list scopes are too large, so a move to a pattern like List of HBO original programming would be more WP:CONCISE and match Category:HBO original programming - but this would have to be done as a multi-move covering all such lists at once. -- Netoholic @ 10:09, 8 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The request to rename this article to List of HBO original programming has been carried out.

If the page title has consensus, be sure to close this discussion using {{subst:RM top|'''page moved'''.}} and {{subst:RM bottom}} and remove the {{Requested move/dated|…}} tag, or replace it with the {{subst:Requested move/end|…}} tag.

– On review of Category:Lists of television series by network, there is very little consistency in article naming or scope. Streaming services list original programming only and use a different title formation, i.e. List of original programs distributed by Netflix. Other networks are generally named as lists of all broadcast programs, but many are structured to only list original programming. As the most substantially misleading matter, it seems sensible to begin tackling this rather than attempt all fixes in one fell swoop. The three articles in this nomination all only list original programming, despite their titles. Future work could and probably should move the streaming service lists to similarly WP:CONCISE titles and develop other network list pages into a WP:CONSISTENT format of commissioned programming only.
