At 22:11 on 28 May I indeffed Coder196 for repeated copyright violations at Draft:Fengqi You, the only topic that I can see that he/she showed an interest in (some edits have been oversighted). Little more that 24 hours later, Chicago20092016 created an account and went straight to the same draft. This seems completely obvious, but my judgement has already been called into question once today, so I'd be grateful if someone else would look at it and do anything that's needed. Thank you, Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 19:51, 30 May 2020 (UTC)

Confirmed, blocked and tagged.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 20:00, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
Clerk note: Ponyo, any particular reason the master isn't tagged? Reviewing the case before archiving and wanted to check whether that was intentional - if not, I'm happy to take care of it. creffett (talk) 20:57, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- On a first case of socking I generally don't tag the master if there isn't evidence that they were aware that creating a new account constituted block evasion.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:01, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- For example, if Coder196 wasn't already blocked indefinitely for copyright violations, I likely would have only blocked them for a week or two for the WP:SOCK violation and not tagged them as a sockmaster unless they socked again, in which case WP:AGF goes out the window.-- Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 21:07, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
- Ponyo, and this is why I asked first! Thanks for the explanation, will archive. creffett (talk) 21:20, 30 May 2020 (UTC)
