Zoom of half-integers should be integrated
Visible labels should be available on maplink maps, like pushpin maps have
Maplink maps should be "interactive", not "static" on article space even if just to allow hovering/clicking on icons to display text instantly
Maplink maps need more view options, perhaps a click for city-level vs. state-level vs. country-level like pushpin maps have, or...
Maplink maps need better support for side-by-side maps - I can use {{stack}} but it doesn't work on mobile
Maplink maps need better availability on infoboxes - see Wikipedia:Mapframe maps in infoboxes
"Shape-inverse" doesn't display cutouts like enclaves

Icons should be able to be directly shown, rather than inside the map pin icon
Custom jpg icons should be allowed as pushpin maps allow them; current icon set has many problems, see below
Icons, currently only available in white, should be available at least in black as well, for increased contrast when marker-color is set to a light color

library - would look better if it incorporated a building along with a book/books, see these
fire station - currently resembles an active fire, not a station
bank - should be a dollar bill or bank building (fixed in Maki, not here)
school - should resemble common school icons
prison - unclear, looks like a fence (fixed in Maki, not here)
synagogue - should resemble common synagogue icons
church - should resemble common church icons
mosque - should resemble common mosque icons
