Azerbaijan–Libya relations

Azerbaijan-Libya relations are bilateral relations between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the State of Libya in diplomatic, socio-economic, cultural and other spheres.

The countries cooperate in such areas as trade, energy, tourism, industry, defense, investment, architecture, science, agriculture, education, health, sports, culture, etc.[1]

Diplomatic relations

On December 30, 1991, the government of Libya recognized the independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan.[2]

Diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Libya were established on March 16, 1992.[2]

The Embassy of Libya in Baku has been functioning since April 1995.[2]

The legal framework includes 5 documents.[2]
