Colours?

My goodness, this is incomplete. What do the colours mean? -- Evertype· 18:54, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

see [1]. I know, it's shoddy, I've just been using it as a notepad, and as a place to redirect various names of ranges to. dab () 20:34, 16 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The table shows that range 0080–009F contains punctuation and other characters, while this range is used for non-printable control characters 93.183.243.45 (talk) 10:09, 30 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Font

Is there one font that covers all of these other than Code2000?

Probably Charis SIL would help. --User:에멜무지로/Sig 18:36, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Charis SIL doesn't. Doulos SIL doesn't either. (Look at the last few characters in Notepad (or a program that doesn't support font fallback.) --Kjoonlee 20:23, 27 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
What about arial? Jasonxu98 (talk) 21:37, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

šŠ,žŽ

Why are there two code points for šŠ, žŽ in Latin-1 Supplement and Latin Extended-A? (or the font I use is buggy...) Kazkaskazkasako (talk) 08:53, 27 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The font uses Windows-1252 (or other windows font) which has characters in 0x80-0x9F. E.g. šŠžŽœŒ€‰–—. Unicode does not have printable values in 0x80-0x9F. Bug or feature depends on who you ask. Backwards compatibility? --BIL (talk) 21:00, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Scope of article

At present the article indiscriminately includes characters such as those in the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols and Enclosed Alphanumerics blocks that do not belong to the Latin script according the script classification used in the Unicode Standard, and conversely excludes some characters that are classified as Latin script (such as Number Forms). As the article is specifically related to the encoding of Latin script characters in the Unicode Standard I believe that the criteria for inclusion in this article should be whether or not a character has the Unicode script property of "Latin". I have therefore amended the article to only include those characters that have the "Latin" script property in Unicode version 7.0. BabelStone (talk) 21:32, 16 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sorting

How is the “letters by shape” list sorted? 1234qwer1234qwer4 (talk) 16:28, 16 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Who knows? It is all original research. As this article is explicitly about characters that are defined as Latin script in the Unicode Standard, and the list of letters by shape comprises Unicode characters with various Unicode script values, the tables are not appropriate for inclusion in this article, so I have moved them to List of Latin letters by shape.
