As explained to Sundayclose, the edits made were necessary, as the information regarding Archbishop Lefebvre reflected political, rather than religious, categories.

Political terms such as "left" and "right" do not apply to Catholic prelates and in matters of religions "orthodox" or "heterodox" are used. https://www.encyclopedia.com/environment/encyclopedias-almanacs-transcripts-and-maps/orthodoxy-and-heterodoxy

The edits more accurately reflect the categorical differences.
