That means throwing any sort of projectile: stones, bricks, baseballs, rotten fruit etc.

I'd suggest using and/or linking to the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spelling_alphabet#Law_Enforcement APCO spelling alphabet, which is the controlling source for police communications procedures.Peter K.
