CPMP-Tools (CPMP is abbreviation for Core-Plus Mathematics Texts). CPMP-Tools is a free open-source software-package for Computer Algebra System (CAS). CPMP-Tools has GNU-public lincense and works with three operation systems. CPMP-Tools is made for mathematics at high school level.[1][2]

CPMP-Tools is a little similar to the two free CAS-software Yacas and Xcas.

CPMP-Tools is Java-based.[3]

Operating systems

CPMP-Tools works for these operating systems:

CPMP-Tools is a software-package containing four parts.[6][1]

  • Algebra Tools is computer algebra system (CAS) and spreadsheet
  • Geometry Tools is used for drawing geometric figures
  • Statistics Tools can build a uni- or biviat diagram
  • Discrete Math is for mathematical modeling

Features

History

The American mathematics teacher Brian Lemmen[9] was involved in the development of CPMP-Tools.[10] CPMP-Tools was first publiced in the 1990s.[11]

There are tutorials and online curses about CPMP-Tools.[11][12][13]
