Merge to tehsil

An anonymous editor added a merge tag to this article. Was this tag added for any particular reason? Jarble (talk) 01:50, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There are large number of Community development blocks, particularly in Eastern India, where people don't even understand what a tehsil is. Merging the article on CD Blocks with Tehsil would mean a big information gap. Can somebody tell me if any state has full coverage of all its tehsils in Wikipdeia? I would like to understand the popularity of the idea in Wikipedia. By merging the article on Community Development Block with Tehsils, the idea of CD Blocks does not vanish but becomes hazy and confusing. With this merger we will be heading for confusion rather than clarity. Please note that in 2011 census data is CD Block wise. - Chandan Guha (talk) 04:34, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
