Modular Core Technology (MTC) is a method of software architecture that allows a core set of functions to be quickly assembled into various products. A core of re-usable modular software objects is created that can easily be added to or removed from customized software builds, making customization of large software products much faster and more cost-effective.
An example of MTC is the packaging of a core set of PC diagnostics into a variety of different products designed for various users, such as manufacturers and repair centers, which have very different requirements.
