Evolution and Human Behavior is a peer-reviewed academic journal covering research in which evolutionary perspectives are brought to bear on the study of human behavior. It is primarily a scientific journal, but articles from scholars in the humanities are also published. Papers reporting on theoretical and empirical work on other species may be included if their relevance to the human animal is apparent. [1]The journal is published by Elsevier on behalf of the Human Behavior and Evolution Society.[2]

The journal is published twice a month with a total of 64 articles published per year.[3]

History

Martin Daly and Margo Wilson edited Evolution and Human Behavior from 1997 to 2005.In the 2000’s Steve Gaulin,Dan Fessler, and Martie Haselton , Ruth Mace have shepherded the journal. [4]Steve Gaulin and Martin Daly are currently consulting editors of this journal .[1]

Awards

The Margo Wilson Award is an annual award presented for best paper published in the journal in the previous year.[5]
