The Institutional Learning and Change (ILAC) Initiative consists of an evolving community of individuals committed to increasing the contributions of agricultural research to sustainable poverty reduction around the world. This group uses innovation systems thinking and tools to understand agricultural change processes and guide interventions to stimulate pro-poor innovation.

ILAC is hosted by Bioversity International (formerly known as the International Plant Genetic Resources Institute) which is one of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) Centers.

ILAC objectives include: 1. Identify, support and draw lessons from collaborative pro-poor agricultural innovation programmes 2. Develop the capacity of collaborative programmes for pro-poor agricultural innovation 3. Foster visionary leadership and make organizations more supportive of pro-poor agricultural innovation 4. Facilitate knowledge sharing within the emerging community of rural innovation professionals
