2019 SU3 (SPK-ID: 3856703) is an Apollo (NEO) asteroid, discovered 23 September 2019, that has been added to the Risk List of the European Space Agency. Based on calculations in October 2019, the asteroid may pass very close to Earth, about 9,700 km (6,000 mi), in mid-September, 2084.[1][2][3][4][5] According to astronomers, "It's small size of about 15 m (49 ft) would result in limited consequences even in case of impact."[2] Nonetheless, an impact by asteroid 2019 SU3 may be considered "one of the most significant impacts of the century".[2]
