Gitea is an open-source software package for hosting software development version control using Git. It supports self-hosting but also offers a public first-party instance. It is a fork of Gogs[1] and is written in Go[2]. Gitea can be hosted on all platforms supported by Go[3] including Linux, macOS, and Windows[4]. The project is funded on Open Collective [5].
