VGN Property Developers Pvt. Ltd.[3][4] is an Indian real estate company headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. VGN[5] primarily focuses on residential projects. It also engages in the development of commercial and institutional properties. VGN also has its own engineering, procurement and construction division which specialises in the construction of buildings, roads, bridges and pipelines .[6][7][8][9]
History
Founded in the year 1942,[10] VGN has developed in excess of 20 million[11] square feet of real estate with over 50 projects in the city of Chennai. An ISO 9001:2008 certified company. V Gurusamy was the founder of VGN group. In the year 1942 he started brick kiln factory and manufactured bricks in the name of VGN. He acquired land parcels basically to manufacture bricks in various locations. He worked hard to build good will and earned a name for VGN brand. [12]
V N Devadoss is the chairman of VGN group. His acumen in real estate business has made him a successful entrepreneur in plotted developments in Chennai. He established a real estate company in the name of VGN Homes. Initially he started to firm up the land banks and ventured into plotted development at his young age. His hard work in real estate business yielded profits, success and carved a name in the real estate Industry. Devadoss has now taken a back seat and handed over the reins to his son Pratish Devadoss.
In 2003 Pratish Devadoss entered into real estate business in VGN Homes and learnt the real estate business functionalities thoroughly at a very young age. He wanted to implement his dream by venturing into property development and construction of large residential projects in and around Chennai[13]. Since 2008, He has embarked into large residential townships in various parts of Chennai. His motto is to help thousands of families to realise their dream of owning a ‘Home’ and also provide exponential returns on their investments in VGN properties in Chennai. Under his leadership, VGN has built, delivered around 6500 homes as on 31st Dec 2017 and another 10,000 homes in the pipeline.[14]
