IBM FlashCoreModules are solid state technology computer data storage modules using PCI Express attachment and the NVMe command set.[1]. The raw storage capacities are 4800GB, 9600GB, 19200GB in 2019. The (newer) flashcore modules support self-encryption and hardware compression, with an efficiency of up to 22:10. They are used in the newer IBM FlashSystem (starting with FlashSystem 900) and in selected models of the IBM Storwize family.
