The NET Power Demonstration Facility, located in La Porte, Tx, is an oxy-combustion, zero-emissions[1] 50 MWth natural gas power plant operated by NET Power[2] and owned by Exelon, McDermott, Oxy Low Carbon Ventures, and 8 Rivers Capital.[3] The plant is a first of its kind Allam Power Cycle demonstration facility which achieved first-fire in May of 2018.[4][5] The Allam Power Cycle has the potential to deliver lower cost power while eliminating atmospheric emissions.[6][7] With the success of its demonstration plant, NET Power is looking to build more plants and at larger scales.[8]
