Wikipedia:Scripts++/Instructions

Instructions for sending the newsletter:

1. Move Wikipedia:Scripts++/Next to Wikipedia:Scripts++/Issue $1, where $1 corresponds to the new issue number
   • A redirect should be suppressed, per WP:PMRC#9/WP:CSD#G7.
   • Suggested summary: Issue being sent, moving (redirect suppressed per [[WP:PMRC#9]]/[[WP:CSD#G7]])
   • This summary appears as: Issue being sent, moving (redirect suppressed per WP:PMRC#9/WP:CSD#G7)
2. Ensure that the <nowiki /> tag has been removed from the signature, to ensure that it is saved and substituted as a signature
3. Ensure that the <nowiki /> tag has been removed from the talk page link, so that it is saved and substituted as a proper link to the talk page of the issue
4. Create the talk page of the new issue, so that it isn't sent as a red link
5. Send the meass message:
   1. Go to Special:MassMessage
   2. Set the target list to Wikipedia:Scripts++/Subscribe
   3. Set the subject to Scripts++ Newsletter – Issue $1, where $1 corresponds to the new issue number
   4. Set the content to {{subst:Wikipedia:Scripts++/Issue $1}}, where $1 corresponds to the new issue number
   5. Preview, verify that steps 2-4 were implemented properly, and send
6. Update the current issue transcluded to Wikipedia:Scripts++
