From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This is an old revision of this page, as edited by FeepingCreature (talk | contribs) at 20:32, 18 June 2019 ("lvalue" means "left value", not "location value".). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

L-value, L value or lvalue may refer to:

  • In computer science, a value that points to a storage location, potentially allowing new values to be assigned (so named because it appears on the left side of a variable assignment)
  • In space physics, the value assigned to an L-shell, a particular set of planetary magnetic field lines
  • In astronomy, a measure of brightness of a lunar eclipse on the Danjon scale
