Design and development
The Elixir is a low-wing cantilever monoplane of all composite construction. It has a fixed tricycle landing gear and a T-tail and powered by a 100 hp (75 kW) Rotax 912iS or Rotax 915iS 140 hp (104 kW) piston-engine. The enclosed cabin has two side-by-side configuration seats. The aircraft is fitted with a BRS Ballistic parachute for use in emergencies. The aircraft is constructed from molded carbon fiber reinforced polymer, technology that was initially developed for the construction of racing sailboats.[2][3]
The Elixir first flew on 31 August 2017 from La Rochelle Airport.[4]
