Hitesh Modak[1] is a professional music composer, arranger and producer from Mumbai. He is the arranger and composer of the soulful track Moh Moh Ke Dhaage from Dum Lagake Haisa. [2]
Life
Born in an economically challanged family of Mumbai, Hitesh fought against numberless difficulties to establish himself and now it has passed almost 10 years since he has kept his feet in the film industry. [3] Before entering the Bollywood, he had played in various bands and performed in various international stage shows.[4]
Career
At the very dawn of his career he worked as the assistant music director of MTV Unplugged Season 1 and 2 in the year of 2011 and 2012 with his guru Ranjit Barot. He worked in a Punjabi film Hero Naam Yaad Rakhi as a music composer. [5]
Hitesh [6]established his identity well through the following works in the Bollywood. As an arranger and producer his work 'Moh Moh ke Dhaage' from Dum Laga Ke Haisha needs a special mention as the song won 63rd National Awards in several categories. [7]He has done Background scores for the films like Shaitaan [8], Ishqzaade, Dawat e ishq [9], Qaidi Band [10]& Simran .[11] He has arranged and produced songs like Qareeb Qareeb Single ( Dana Paani ) , Hichki ( Oye Hichki , Teri Dastaan) , Sunder Sushil , Welcome back song ( 20/20), Chadta Sooraj , Ye pal , Indu Sarkar songs , Begum Jaan film songs such as Holi , O re Kaharo , Aazadiya , Murshida , Prem mei tohre and Home ( An ALT Balaji Web Series). Recently Home has been nominated in ITA awards.[12]
Recently he has remade a Yash_Raj_Films song with Aditya Chopra and Shiv Rawal , SONG – Ni Main Yaar Manana Ni Dance Mix ft. Vaani Kapoor [13] Among his upcoming ventures there are a Marathi film with Majesh Manjrekar , untitled Bollywood movies, a web series with Ehswar Niwas and many more. [14]
