Sicoderus bautistai is a species of true weevil in the family of beetles known as Curculionidae. It was named in 2018 by Robert S. Anderson, for professional baseball player José Bautista. Anderson grew up a fan of Bautista's former team, the Toronto Blue Jays,[1] and discovered the species while identifying samples in collections from Bautista's native Dominican Republic.[2][3]
