article role and scope

hello fellow wikipedians!! welcome to the first year-based timeline article on technology at Wikipedia since 2012!! I did some research, and the last article I was able to find was 2012 in technology; however, it was just a redirect. I hope you find this idea helpful. as you can see this article is just a stub. hoever, I hope to establish so that it will be a recurring item by year, in time for the start of next new calendar year, in January 2019. thanks!! --Sm8900 (talk) 03:32, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
