The IAC Awards are the first and only industry-based advertising award competition dedicated exclusively to online advertising. This international award program will evaluate all forms of online advertising.
Awards granted
Internet Advertising Competition Awards will be given to those entries that the judges rate as best within each industry category. Award winners will receive a handsome trophy customized for their entry.
Entries not winning the top award in their category will be eligible for an Outstanding Advertising Award based on upon the total score. Award winners will receive a personalized certificate, suitable for framing, to acknowledge their achievement.
No award will be issued if, in the opinion of the judges, all entries within a given category do not meet a high standard of excellence.
A Best of Show award will also be selected in each of the advertising format categories.
Interactive agencies that win multiple awards will also be in the running for Top Agency Award. Each entrant will be awarded points based on the level of award for each award received. A Best of Show will be worth 5 points, Best of Industry 3 points and each Outstanding award 1 point. The agency with the most points will be awarded the Top Agency Award. Agencies winning an IAC Award will also be automatically included in the Award Winning Agencies Database.
Agencies that demonstrate excellence across multiple entries will also receive special recognition. The Outstanding Interactive Developer Award will be awarded to those organizations who win 6 or more awards in a single competition.

Awards will be presented within each of the industry categories and advertising formats including:
Online ad (including Banner, Pop-up, Interstitial, or floating ad not created in rich media format)
Online campaign (including Banner, Pop-up, Interstitial, or floating ad not created in rich media format)
Rich media Online ad (including Banner, Pop-up, Interstitial, or floating ad using Flash or similar technology)
Rich media Online campaign (including Banner, Pop-up, Interstitial, or floating ad using Flash or similar technology)
Email message (ad delivered via email)
Email message campaign (ad delivered via email)
Online Newsletter campaign
Websites* (website, microsite or landing page used in advertising process)
Interactive application (executable file delivered online)
Mobile Applications (apps for use on mobile devices such as iPhone, Android)
Social Media Campaign (apps and campaigns used on social networks such as Facebook or LinkedIn)
Online Video
Integrated ad campaign (campaign using two or more of the above online media)
Voice Skill or Action
The campaign categories are open to advertising campaigns consisting of no less than three and no more than five ads used to promote a single product, brand, or concept.
Judging
The Internet Advertising Competition judges represent all aspects of the advertising and Internet worlds. Entries will be judged on the judging criteria creativity, innovation, impact, design, copywriting, and use of the medium. Entries compete head-to-head with other entries within their specific medium and industry categories.
Judging for the IAC Awards usually takes place in February. Judges consist of a select group of Internet advertising professionals with an in-depth understanding of the current state-of-the-art in Web advertising. Past competition judges have included top executives from leading corporations, institutions and media organizations such as Arc Worldwide, Beeby Clark+Meyler, Brunner Digital, Campbell-Ewald, CNN, Deep Interactive Asia, Digitas, EuroRSCG 4D, Google, IBM Interactive, JWT, Mastercard, McCann Worldgroup, Possible, SapientRazorfish, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Small Army, Tectis GmbH, TMP Worldwide, Universal McCann Interactive and Wunderman / Y&R.
The Web Marketing Association
The Web Marketing Association is an organization working to create a high standard of excellence for Web site development and marketing on the Internet. Staffed by volunteers, it is made up of Internet marketing, advertising, PR and design professionals who share an interest in improving the quality of online advertising, Internet marketing and promotion used to attract visitors to Web sites. The Web Marketing Association’s annual award programs, the WebAward Competition, the Internet Advertising Competition Awards and the MobileWebAwards, have been helping interactive professionals promote themselves, their companies, and their best work to the outside world since 1997.
