The Green Building XML schema, referred to as “gbXML”, was developed to facilitate the development of a common interoperability model integraing a myriad of deisng and development tools used in the buildign industry. GbXML is being integrated into a range of software CAD and engineering tools. This interoperability standards reduces the time to develop a builing and also assures that when the builing is put into operation it can meet the design intent.
