The knowledge machine is perhaps one of Dr. Papert's most intriguing and exciting concepts. The knowledge machine is supposed to enable children to explore any situation and engage them completely. Although Papert never clearly defined the Knowledge Machine, one can picture a virtual reality device that allows the user to slip into any situation and actually experience it first hand
