The goal of WikiProject Christianity is to improve the quality and quantity of information about Christianity available on Wikipedia. WP Christianity as a group does not prefer any particular tradition or denominination of Christianity, but prefers that all major contemporary Christian traditions are fairly and accurately represented. Moreover, WP Christianity desires that the Lord Jesus Christ is represented honorably and magnificently.
Also, when you are reading any articles and you notice text that could be linking to any other Christian WikiPedia article, take time to put in the link. Linking articles together is helpful to readers and editors.
To Do
Attract attention from editors interested in Christianity and Christianity-related topics.
Discuss the feasibility and desirability of activating this project, and strategy.
If the project is a "go", create collaborative projects to systematically improve coverage.
A destubbification campaign, which would consist of categorized lists of stubs nominated for expansion by project members. New nominees would be placed at the bottom and rise as stubs above are removed. Each category's top stub would be removed once a week, or re-added to the bottom if it's not destubbed yet, making sure the focus stubs are rotated. The categories would be something like:
Bible stubs
Theology stubs
Ecclesiastical stubs, for denominations, traditions, churches, and parachurch organizations
People stubs, for individuals
Culture stubs, for culture, music, art, architecture, and so on
Adopted Topic, where a suite of topically related articles are targeted for improvement until there's a consensus to move on to a new topic.
Article Review, for articles nominated by members for wider review. In this case the new ones go at the top and sink as new ones are added.
Work on expanding or adding templates, such as a template for Christian theology.
Devise standards to apply across Christianity articles.
Bring a more neutral voice to articles which categorize a movement as non-Christian or a cult.
Dr.Tam12:55, 19 May 2006 (UTC) I am a chinese protestant christian, and I am interested in Jewish history, Christian history and Christian philosophy.[reply]
―Linux|erist I am willing to join in. I am a follower of Christ, though I cannot decide myself about whether or not to use the term "Christianity" as it covers such a broad range of "religions." For instance, I personally do not agree with Mormonism, though it is part of Christianity. Nonetheless, I join to help improve the included articles on Wikipedia.
