Article Evaluation Bold text PRIMARY SOURCES You need to have primary and secondary sources in your writing. It shows where you get the information primary sources can be biased and may twist historical views. I kinda feel like if the information was on something we were interested in it would be much easier- my opinion the people on the talk page are talking about how primary sources are like first had testimonies or direct evidence concerning a topic that is being investigated. They are also talking about what they deleted and added and how someone was trying to combine two sentences into one (which made it confusing so that's why they took it out)

Lead Section prough paragraph Total Communication for deaf children is more than just teaching deaf children communication its focuses on teahing children stratiges to help them communicate better. some stratiges would be finger spelling , body language, sign language, lip reading and natural gestures to communicate. If a child is in a TC program typicaly they wear hearidng aids or implants to help them furthure. According to rasing deaf kids these types of programs encourage children to use the hearing they still have left. TC helps children learn by giving them language. The two things you need to know about TC is that not all programs are the same and its not only used to help deaf children communicate it also helps children who may have down syndrome and its also shown to help boys who have fragile X syndrome since usually they learn to speak late. Total Communication helps to prevent frustrations and behavior problems that sometime happen when children can't communicate effectivley. First Draft Total communication not only helps deaf children learn to communicate but also children with down syndrom and other learning disabilities where it make communication hard especially for school aged children and the family envolved. total communication focuses on teaching children starties to help them commmunicate better like finger spelling, how to use body language to tell people how you feel, sign language, lip reading and other natural gestures to communicate. total communication encourages children to still use the little bit of hearing they may have left with the help of hearing aids or implants. Not being able to communicate can be very frustgarting this can also cause behavior problems when a child is not able to communicate what he or she may need. Total Communication uses both a visual aspect and hearing to help children communicate. When a child is in a classroom setting the teachers and the students may always be speaking and signing at the same time, this is called simultaneous communication, or simcom.

Teachers who teach these types of classes always emphasize learning the language first. These programs also follow the sign language system based on the english system. total communication includes:

According to handstandvoices.org total communication original intent was to provide children with the communication tools needs for children to develop complete language. but in later years the philosophy of total communication has often been over-simplified and has been confused with the simultaneous communication methodology that just simply combines sign and spoken language called sign language. but sign and spoken language can be both very effective when they are combined, but parents and teachers need to be sure that language competence is being developed and they also need to be that they are taking into consideration the strengths and needs of the individual child, because if not whats the point in all of this.
