Snippets of commonly used boilerplate text to customize, and paste into User talk pages.

Hi, Username, and thanks for adding citations in your contribution to Example article. There was a problem with the citation(s), however, as they consisted of BAREURLS. When adding a reference, at a minimum please add Title, Author, and date. Here's a sample reference you can cut-paste right into articles you are editing:

<ref>Doe, John; [https://nytimes.com/some-article   Title of the article]; NY Times (date of webpage). retrieved on today's date</ref>

For full citation format, see Template:Citation. Example of {{Citation}} template usage:

<ref>{{cite web |title=Title of the article |last1=Doe |first1=John |url=https://nytimes.com/some-article |date=date of webpage |website=NY Times |accessdate=today's date}}</ref>

substituting the correct information instead of the italicized parts above.
