- Evidence
Messhermit is banned from editing Alberto Fujimori [1]. However, I believe that he is editing the article as 65.2.103.216, 147.70.124.59, 74.225.187.18 and 74.225.227.204. The following are my reasons to believe this:
- 147.70.124.59's IP is owned by Miami-Dade College.[2] Messhermit's user page claims that he is a student at this very same college.
- 65.2.103.216 is also in Miami, Florida. [3]
- 65.2.103.216's edit summaries use the phrase "rv. Political bias detected" [4] Messhermit uses extremely similar language in his edit summaries about Peru. [5] [6][7][8][9][10] [11]
- At one point, Messhermit acted in total defiance of the ban and edited Alberto Fujimori. [12] This creates the impression that he forgot to log out and edit as an IP.
- 65.2.103.216, 74.225.187.18, and Messhermit have rushed to defend one another on Talk:Alberto Fujimori, and are in apparent 100% agreement with each other.
- 65.2.103.216, 147.70.124.59, 74.225.227.204 and 74.225.187.18 are all obvious Single purpose accounts [13] [14] [15] whose purpose seems to be adding Messhermit's suggestions to Peru-related articles.
- 65.2.103.216, 147.70.124.59, User:74.225.187.18, and 74.225.227.204 have almost identicle edit histories. For example, in addition to editing the article on Fujimori, 65.2.103.216 and 147.70.124.59 all edit List of dictators. Interestingly, 74.225.187.18, although he has never edited the list of dictators, complained to User:Addhoc about the state of the list. [16]
- Messhermit has been involved in editing Túpac Amaru Revolutionary Movement and Shining Path. 65.2.103.216 referred to these edits in the first person. [17]
- Messhermit objected to a user calling himself a "human rights advocate." [18] 65.2.103.216 raised the same objection. [19] So did 147.70.124.59 [20]. So did 74.225.187.18 [21] So did 74.225.227.204 [22]
- 74.225.187.18 65.2.103.216, and 74.225.227.204 all have the same ISP, BellSouth. While DNS stuff identifies two out of these three as originating in Altanta, Georgia rather than Miami, that may be due to the fact that BellSouth.net, Inc. is located at 575 Morosgo Drive Atlanta, GA.
If 65.2.103.216, 147.70.124.59, 74.225.187.18, 74.225.227.204, and Messhermit are not the same editor, than I deeply apologize to all of them. I feel somewhat embarrassed to be the one to make such a serious accusation, but it seems to me that a wikipedian banned from editing this article may be doing so.

This has become nothing more than a “which hunt” against my person imposed by two leftist wikipedians that hold a grudge against my person. I will refuse to answer anything due to the fact that this is nothing more than a political persecution and an attempt to subdue my freedom of speech here in Wikipedia. Descendall asked me to look in on this page. Messhermit: two questions:
- From context, clearly Descendall is one of the people you are accusing of a “which hunt” (that is, presumably, a "witch hunt"). You do not identify the other. Who are you accusing? If it is me (since I am on the political left, and have worked on that page, I have to imagine it might be), what edits have I made that constitute "witch hunting"?
- Just to possibly save some time: are you denying the accusation of using sock puppets? (You don't actually say so: so far you have made only a "non-denial denial". - Jmabel | Talk 02:47, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
