A red team placement means the team was eliminated.
An orange + next to a leg number indicates that there was a Head-to-Head on that leg of the race, while an orange − indicates the team that lost the final Head-to-Head and was eliminated.
A brown ⊃ or a cyan ⋑ indicates that the team chose to use one of the two U-Turns in a Double U-Turn, while a ⊂ or ⋐ indicates the team who received it; ⋐⋑ around a leg number indicates that only one of the two available U-Turns was used.
An underlined blue placement indicates the team came in last on a non-elimination leg and had to perform a Speed Bump during the next leg of the race.
An underlined leg number indicates that there was no mandatory rest period at the Pit Stop and all teams were ordered to continue racing. An underlined team placement indicates that the team came in last on a "continue racing" leg and was ordered to continue racing.
^ Edie & Susan initially arrived 4th, but were issued a 30-minute penalty upon reaching the Pit Stop because Edie provided illegal assistance at the Roadblock. Five teams checked in during their penalty time, dropping Edie & Susan to 9th.
^ Teams had to swap partners for a duration of the leg. Edie paired with Mary Alice, Tom paired with Susan, Alma paired with Elliott, Nicole paired with Trudy, Ben paired with Lyndsay, and Rex paired with Orson. Because of this, in order to check in at the Pit Stop, the teams had to be paired with their original partner. Edie & Mary Alice arrived 1st, Ben & Lyndsay arrived 2nd, Nicole & Trudy arrived 3rd, Tom & Susan arrived 4th, Rex & Orson arrived 5th, and Alma & Elliott arrived last. Teams swapped back to their original partners once they checked in.
