Contested deletion

This article should not be speedy deleted as lacking sufficient context to identify its subject, because... (your reason here) --Krikkit1 (talk) 13:32, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Because it is a table that probably nobody wants to have in the main article (Atmel_AVR) on it itself. The attiny doesn't justify a page on it's own, it's already covered well by the general Atmel_AVR page. I think the comparison chart is very valuable tool, as this information is otherwise scattered. Krikkit1 (talk) 13:32, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

This looks very much as though it is copied from the Atmel site, in which case it should not be posted here. In any case, it's not an encyclopaedic article. Peridon (talk) 14:11, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Issues as stated above and elsewhere about this page

There is NO such table at the atmel site itself, even though you would expect that way. It seems once indeed there was such a table. The table is NOT copied, the information in the table is collected from the datasheets available at the site.

If I would rewrite this into an article about the attiny in general, would that count as a valuable encyclopaedic article? I don't think this table should be in the Atmel AVR article, it is already too long. Krikkit1 (talk) 17:06, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You could at least explain what the thing is about. At the moment it's a bit, shall we say, specialised? I used to read data tables for transistors and ICs and other such with no problems, but to outsiders this sort of thing is gobbledygook. Wikipedia pages should explain what they are about before getting into the formulas, tables and other insider stuff I'll accept that there isn't a page at Atmel - I've not found one at least. Get some info at the top of the page to say what, who and possibly why. And add a ref or two that are independent of Atmel. Doesn't have to be in depth - just show that someone outside the factory has heard of them... Peridon (talk) 21:29, 3 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, you have a point there. I will give it a shot very soon. Krikkit1 (talk) 19:31, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Okay this way? Krikkit1 (talk) 13:27, 18 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Does ATtiny85 support SPI?

According to this table, it doesn't, but according to [1], it does. 95.143.93.93 (talk) 08:15, 6 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

That page makes me raise my eyebrows... 5 output compare channels, 6 PWM channels? I can not construct a reasoning that would arrive at those numbers. Anyway, the SPI column on that page almost certainly refers to the USI unit the ATtiny85 has. I see that this article now lists both USI and SPI as if they were separare things, so I'm going to delete the SPI entry. It is the USI that supports SPI communication in this model. PWM pins on ATtiny85?

It seems the information is not 100% ok - it looks like ATtiny85 has 3 PWM pins, although the 3rd one is not directly supported by Arduino IDE - [2] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.126.101.51 (talk) 21:04, 9 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads up. Fixed. — Edgar.bonet (talk) 08:05, 10 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Number of Counters

As I'm working with the ATtiny85 right now, I know there is only a single 8 bit counter. There is, however, 2 compare registers that reference the single counter.

Now, is the Counter column in the table supposed to be the number of counters, or comparators? HiTechHiTouch (talk) 16:27, 23 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
