LibRaw is a free and open-source software library for reading raw files from digital cameras. "Virtually all raw formats are supported." It is based on the source code of dcraw, with "additional improvements",[1] and "is intended for embedding in raw converters, data analyzers, and other programs using raw files as the initial data."

LibRaw is available for Windows, macOS, Linux and FreeBSD. It is included in many Linux distributions such as Arch Linux,[2] Debian,[3] Fedora,[4] Gentoo Linux,[5] openSUSE,[6] Slackware[7] and Ubuntu.[8]

Software incorporating LibRaw includes digiKam,[9] gThumb?,[citation needed] Gwenview?,[citation needed] EasyHDR,[citation needed] OpenImageIO[citation needed] and Topaz Studio.[10]
