But what is it?

The lede sentence of this article is perplexing. "The C1q complex is potentially multivalent for attachment to the complement fixation sites of immunoglobulin." It describes a specific characteristic of this "complex" without ever saying what the thing is. That's like starting an article about the Empire State Building by saying "The Empire State Building is sheathed in granite panels." And then later on, somewhere, mentioning that it is a skyscraper in New York City. --R'n'B (call me Russ) 18:35, 2 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Added "is a protein complex ..." - Rod57 (talk) 14:09, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

3 protein info boxes on RHS take up too much space

The 3 protein info boxes on RHS push the cascade diagram too far down if its placed on right. Are there small versions of the boxes we can use and let people expand if desired ? - Rod57 (talk) 14:09, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Diagram does not identify C1Q complex

The complement pathway image does not label anything as C1Q complex. Can we explain or find another diagram ? - Rod57 (talk) 14:25, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I guess its the orange part of the 'C1 complex' - maybe the green parts are C1r and C1s ? - Rod57 (talk) 14:47, 2 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Rod57 is correct and I have now added it to the image text. --Treetear (talk) 00:59, 4 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
