Setting rules for DRN
Hello. It may be beneficial to set some guidelines when opening a DRN case. Examples can be found at User:Nihlus/drn rules and User:Robert McClenon/Mediation Rules. I had to hat part of a case you were handling as the participants were engaging in unhelpful back-and-forth discussion, which moderators typically tell the participants to avoid. Here's an example opener that I use, feel free to adjust to your liking:
- I will act as the moderator in this discussion. A reminder to those involved that we all have the goal of improving the article. Please familiarize yourself with my rules; your involvement in this discussion implies your agreement to follow them. As there has been some inappropriate remarks made on different pages, I will remind everyone that comments about another editor or their intentions or accusations of censorship will not be tolerated and will be removed. [...] As a reminder, do not engage in back-and-forth discussion with one another.
The censorship comment was just tailored to that specific group of users given previous accusations thrown around. Hope this helps. Nihlus 13:56, 15 November 2017 (UTC)
