The Arrowhead Library System (ALS) is a public library consortium consisting of 7 branches serving Rock County, Wisconsin. The headquarters of the library system is located on the lower level of the Shaw Municipal Building in Milton, Wisconsin.[2]

History

The library system was founded in 1974 as part of an effort to coordinate the multiple libraries in Rock County into one group. This merge allowed for the expansion of library services to the residents of the county.

In 2017 the Arrowhead Library System agreed to join the SHARE consortium. The SHARE consortium links the Arrowhead Library System with many others throughout the state. This allows for the replacement of the cataloging software previously used by the ALS to increase the amount of books available from 750,000 to over 2.15 million.[3][4]
