Advances in Group Theory and Applications, sometimes shortened to AGTA, (ISSN 2499-1287) is an international mathematical research journal in group theory. It is published by Aracne and was founded in 2015 by Francesco de Giovanni, who is currently its editor-in-chief.

The journal is composed of three sections. The main one contains mathematical research papers, while the two other sections are respectively devoted to historical papers and open problems.

The journal is peer-reviewed and abstracted and indexed by Mathematical Reviews [1] and Zentralblatt MATH [2].

AGTA is an open access journal freely available at the journal website.
