Help talk:IPA/Sardinian
links & references to this page
i'm quite a newbie and unexperienced editor, so i'd like to ask some help here. i decided to create this page because when trying to add the ipa transcription in sardinian at: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salvatore_Sirigu i noticed some issues i noted down in the talk there, namely:
- the iso 639-1 lang tag "sc" points to serbocroatian; i'm totally in favour of keeping serbocroatian as macrolanguage, but the lang tag "sc" according to iso 639-1 corresponds to sard. after noticing that i tried with the 3-letter tag and...
- the iso 639-2 "srd" is not recognised as for sard yet, but still as a future ipa template.
so the IPA-srd was still a template (Template:IPA-srd) within the category future ipa templates (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Future_IPA_templates). once i've created this page, could anyone tell me how to delete the Template:IPA-srd and establish the IPA-srd as linking to this article?
a couple of examples of pages where i tried to introduce the IPA-srd link to phonetic transcriptions:

Move discussion in progress
There is a move discussion in progress on Help talk:IPA which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 16:18, 15 July 2017 (UTC)
changes by User:IvanScrooge98
User:IvanScrooge98 removed all my contextual notes regarding the phonotactics that condition the pronunciation of sardinian sounds. besides being a hard work now deleted without any explanation/reason (such a big deletion with not even bother to add a comment), it clearly impoverishes the article. can any neutral user take a look at it? - @Sacdegemecs: I simply cleaned it up in accordance to how other IPA help pages are. That was not the place where to put all of that stuff. Please consider improving the phonology section at Sardinian language instead, where the help links and where readers should find a more detailed explanation of phonotactics. Sorry for omitting a comment.

- @IvanScrooge98: and your contribution with respect to that relevant information is just delete it without even bother to commenting about it or move it yourself to footnotes? such a great contribution, congratulations. anyone who used hours to study and document useful contents for articles in wikipedia, as i did with the phonotactics contexts in manuals of sardinian, would be grateful towards your rich editions. have you ever (really) contributed to another IPA help page? please, any neutral editor can comment here?Sacdegemecs (talk) 16:36, 24 September 2017 (UTC)
- @Sacdegemecs: errr... excuse me? According to your contributions, you are the one who never contributed to an IPA help page besides this one. I kindly invite you to explore the various pages, and you will notice that what you added here is superfluous. Also, you merely described the possible positions of sounds, which are already provided with an example each. Nothing more to say.
