Design Issues is a peer-reviewed academic journal covering design history, theory, and criticism. The journal typically includes theoretical and critical articles, book reviews, and illustrations. Design Issues was established in 1984 and is published online and in hard copy by MIT Press.[1]

The journal includes critical articles from various professionals and scholarly contributors, visual sequences, exhibition reviews. This journal is a peer reviewed journal. There are some special guest edited issues which concentrate on a particular theme like, design history, service design, human-computer interface and product design methodology. Professionals, students, scholars in all the design fields are readers of each issue.[2]
