Semantics being what it is, creating a LEXICAL semantics area involves the use of adding meaning as seen from the perspective of the user. In patent law the author of the patent is considered his own lexicographer. Thus, if he chooses to attach a particular meaning to a word or phrase, this becomes HIS territory. This ig generally called wordsmithing. Just beacuse a person uses profanity profusely, it does not necessarily follow that the person is a bad person or has a bad attitude. Each person is a result of his or her background and learned experiences. Although this does imply the person actually had to generally agree to use the particular vernacular in question. Thence comes the question if a person uses a particular word or phrase under duress, is that the true meaning of the word? This merges the art of wordsmithing into philosophy and all our daily lives.
