Removed text

A few old points I removed from "Advantages" because they didn't seem to fit:

  • Location transparency
  • Hardware independence
  • Distributed DBMS
  • Operating system independence
  • Network independence
  • Replicated transparency
  • Distributed transaction management

Some of these are features instead of advantages (like DTM). Distributed DBMS might be a bit pointless unless explained. Some of these might be added again with explanations.

History

This article also needs a history section. I know that IBM was among the pioneers of distributed databases. Sam Tomato (talk) 20:38, 16 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
