The Abacus Institute of Engineering and Management (AIEM) is a degree-awarding engineering college in Hooghly, West Bengal, India. It was established in 2008 as a joint venture of JIS and Techno India Group. Spread over an area of 10 acres(approx), the college is affiliated with West Bengal University of Technology,[1] and all the programmes are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education.[2]

Location

The campus is located at Mogra(Natungram) on the side of Mogra-Gurap Road, appx 1 KM from Magra Rail station on Howrah Burdwan main line, in the industrial region of Hooghly under Kolkata Metropolitan Development Area, West Bengal. Kolkata airport is 50  km away from the campus. The rail station is help for travelling from Kolkata/ Howrah/ Burdwan & surrounding areas


Academics

The institute offers five B.Tech courses with the affiliation of MAKAUT(WBUT).

Admission to the B.Tech courses in the college is on the basis of the position secured by the candidate in the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination(WBJEE) and All India Engineering Entrance Examination(JEE)

Campus life

The campus life includes ARPEGGIO-the Campus cultural festival, the annual Sports, AGOMONI-the Freshers welcome Party , Intra college Cultural Competition . Various conferences are held frequently in the college. Workshops on various topics are organized by the college for developing the Students . Grooming Sessions, regular interaction with dignitaries are organized for the students. Internship opportunities for make the students industry ready.
