A userspace draft is a draft article in the user namespace (see Wikipedia:Namespace) intended to go into Wikipedia as a proper article in the future. You must create a user account to create your own userspace and be logged in to use it.

Explanation:

Every registered user account on Wikipedia has its own "userspace" - for instance, User:Example/Lipsum is a page in User:Example's userspace.
Userspace is part of Wikipedia, and its use is governed by community rules (Ownership and editing of pages in the user space), but is not part of the encyclopedia. (The encyclopedia part of Wikipedia is called "mainspace" - e.g. Lorem ipsum is a page in mainspace.)
Drafts are typically done on a "user subpage" (e.g. User:Example/Lipsum).
To get a list of all subpages of a page, use Special:Prefixindex and type the parent page name followed by a slash. For example, for all subpages of User:Example, type Special:Prefixindex/User:Example/ in the search box and hit enter. Also, the following link can be used: Special:Prefixindex/User:Example/

Inclusion of images and other media:

As stated in the non-free content criteria, there are restrictions meaning that non-free content is only permitted in article namespace, i.e. not within userspace. Therefore, you may decide to add non-free content after copying your work to article namespace.
